Mr. Enoch J. Drebber and Mr. Joseph Stangerson, two travellers from South America arrived at London. In London they took shelter in Madam Charpentiers Boarding at Torquay Terrace. After few weeks, they decided to return to America from London via train scheduled at night. But, they could not catch the train as Mr. Drebbar went away for some private bussiess and didn’t return in time and at 2 am in the same night his body was discovered by a policeman, inside an empty house at Brixton road, far away from the station. His P. A. Mr. Stangerson was also found dead inside the hotel room, where he was waiting for his boss to return. After failure of Mr. Tobius Gregson and Mr. Lastrade of Scotland Yard, charge of investigation was handed over to famous private detective Mr. Sharlock Holmes and his friend Dr. Watson. They examined the murder site and solved the murder mystry and arrested Mr. Jefferson Hope, the common murderer of Mr. Drebber and Mr. Stangerson. After retrospective study of their past history it was found that the murderer and victims belonged to the same city of America; twenty years back, Mr. Stangerson killed Mr. John Farrier, a rich farmer and the other victim Mr. Drebbar forcefully married his daughter Lucy Farrier for her father’s property. Lucy was the fioncee of Mr. Jefferson Hope and also died after few days of mourning, for this unhappy marriage and her father’s death. Jefferson went made at that tragic situation and he dedicated rest of his life in the name of revenge. Drebbar sold his property and fled with Stangerson to get rid of him from one place to other. Jefferson chase them from America to Europe and finally locate them in London city and fulfilled his esteemed goal of his too short span of life
