The author faced a sudden challenge in his diverse career as an engineer and one day he entered his dream city of Mumbai, taking on the responsibility of redesigning the Assam Bhavan in Mumbai. There were many difficult challenges in this work and strange experiences were added to his career. He encountered various distinguished personalities also. In the midst of all, the author documents the struggle he had in establishing the Assam Bhavan in Mumbai in a new form in the form of a book “Assam Bhavan Mumbai and I― a continuous journey of challenges, experiences and struggles”. The author has used his life experiences to tell the story of the birth of Assam Bhavan in Mumbai and the challenges and struggles he faced. The book also beautifully describes the presence of renowned Assamese people such as Sudhakantha Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and cancer specialist Dr. Tapan Shaikia who were present in Mumbai. The author has provided detailed information about the addresses of Mumbai, the heart of cancer treatment, the cancer hospitals and the accommodation facilities at Mumbai Assam Bhavan for the benefit of every Assamese.
