This novel portrays the sad struggling stories of an Assamese girl, the daughter of a big businessman. The girl became arrogant when her father prevented her going to Milan University, Italy for study. Before that, she was compelled to forget her first love, because her father proposed the boy to her elder sister. All these conflicts made her journey to Italy challenging without the permission of her father. Her only hope was a new Assamese friend, who was also studying in Milan University, who helped her to go to Italy. Before leaving for Milan, she surprisingly discovered that she was adopted from an orphanage nearby Guwahati. But before she left, she searched and could find her biological parents. Further it was shocking to know that her biological father was none other than the father who adopted her. She left for Italy, loved Italy, loved the Assamese friend but several other storms of sorrow followed her. After few days in Milan, her dreams began to fall apart, when the entire city of Milan was under the COVID pandemic. Her hopes said goodbye to her. The painful time of Milan taught her that COVID would teach you many lessons, people’s pride, arrogance, ambition– these would now become worthless. Rich and poor will all become equal. This is nature, this is the consequence of the pride of mankind. The author concludes– how painfully she left Italy for home after serving COVID patients as volunteer of task force; how after returning home, her father gave her a place in her home; how she also could bring her biological mother back to her father as promised and most positivity returns when her father agreed with her love with the new friend. These positive sequel ends the unique story of ‘Krushbiddha’.
